We are responsible for one another’s well being during this time of pandemic. Although we may not have been ill, our consistent caution–using masks to cover our noses and mouths, and maintaining physical distance–can save lives. St. Cyprian has taken several measures to ensure our safety including livestreaming the masses, parking lot masses, and re-imagining our parish events in safe ways.

This Christmas we will require reservations via Eventbright for the 4:00 pm Christmas Eve Mass and our 9:00am Mass on Christmas Day. We’ll have more details after Thanksgiving.

As expected, as the weather grows colder, we have seen an increase in cases and deaths due to COVID-19 in our state. We must be even more vigilant during these weeks of Advent and Christmas.

What does this mean for St. Cyprian Parish? In accordance with State of Michigan and Archdiocesan Guidelines:
  • Liturgies will continue on our normal schedule: Tuesday and Thursday morning mass at 9:00 am. Weekend masses: Saturday at 5:00 pm and Sundays at 9:00 am with social distancing and masks.
  • Although we will be here to serve you in the parish office, Monday – Friday from 8:00 am – Noon, we encourage you to call ahead. We may be able to help you via telephone at 734-283-1366.
  • All religious formation and sacramental classes are being held online until at least January.
  • The Food Pantry will continue to operate every other week. Our next Food pantry distribution is Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at 10:00 am. Food distribution is carried out in safe manner.
  • Giving Tree gifts can be dropped off on tables outside the parish office or by the Social Hall entrance. Staff will be checking these locations daily. Please DO NOT leave gift cards there. Those can be put in the stewardship boxes when you come to mass, along with your Sunday offertory, or contact Kim Switzer to arrange drop off at 734-283-1366 ext. 114.
  • Fr. Marc can also be reached on his cell phone at 313-333-6608 if you have any questions or concerns.

Let us all pray for one another, for an end to this pandemic, and especially for all first responders, for those seeking a vaccine and those suffering from Covid-19.
