The theme for the 2020 Catholic Services Appeal takes inspiration from the city of Detroit’s motto given by Fr. Gabriel Richard, “We hope for better things; it will rise from the ashes. ”These are also the words Jesus speaks to his disciples after the Transfiguration: “Rise and be not afraid”(Matthew 17:7). This year, as our families, parishes, and communities find ways to continue the mission of Christ amid new challenges, we are reminded that we too must rise up, follow Christ, and share with others the peace and joy that comes from knowing we are loved and that God is with us at all times. Please consider making a gift today.
